​​​​​​  Albert Mayer Jr. is the owner of Excelsis Engineering, a consulting firm specializing in technical challenges.
    He is an Academy Award®  and Emmy®  Award  winning designer  

of motion picture camera systems (film/digital, 2D/3D/Immersion) and

has helped to solve major engineering challenges in various industries

    Mr. Mayer has co-invented several items registered with the USPTO

specific to camera design, remote control, and 3D projection systems.

                                 He is a 26 year veteran of Panavision and had been involved with nearly                                  every camera system Panavision produced since the early 1980’s. This                                    includes the Academy®  & Emmy® Award honored Panaflex                                                      Millennium XL - their current flagship film camera - a program for which he                            was both Program Manager and Chief Design Engineer - and                                                    the Academy®  & Emmy®  Award honored Genesis® Digital Camera System, a  joint venture between Panavision and Sony - a program where he was responsible for the mechanical engineering and ergonomics.

   He has conducted numerous seminars and training sessions for industry executives, producers, directors, cinematographers, and film students throughout the world in 2D/3D - film/digital -acquisition/projection systems.

   In his current capacity as head of Excelsis Engineering, he has helped design and or manage state of the art protective helmets, medical device concepts, VR/AR camera systems, virtual border fencing, drone mounts, gaming systems, high end recording devices and other exciting technologies.

   Currently, Mr. Mayer consults for a variety of companies on different levels; Start ups to established corporations, surveillance systems, the US military, and the medical industry. He also consults for several financial institutions on technology trends.

   Most importantly, he is an avid philanthropist for children’s needs throughout the world.
